According to a folklore, these caves date back to the Pandava era and is said to be where the Pandavas lived during their exile almost 5000 years ago.

Even though the area lacks entertainment options like shopping malls or movie theaters, the food industry is quickly catching up with the rest of the city and becoming a happening spot for dining out, especially in Balewadi High Street.
